Job Description

Senior Software Engineer (SS&C Technologies, Inc., Windsor, CT) : The Senior Software Engineer will be adept at designing and implementing data pipelines, developing data models, and creating dashboards and s.

The Senior Software Engineer will play a critical role in the development of software solutions. Specific responsibilities include : Designing and implementing web applications for a scalable cloud service and collaborate with other design, architecture, and development teams.

Working closely with other team members, informing requirements and designs, and ensuring that the final product meets customer needs.

Seeing the development process through from start to finish, ensuring that code is implemented in production and meeting the team’s Definition of Done.

Collaborating closely with software architects to optimize technical designs and challenge decisions when necessary. Inspecting iterative results and proposing improvements to techniques, tools, and processes, helping to ensure that the team is always working at the highest level.

Mentoring junior employees. Telecommuting permitted.

Minimum requirements : Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related plus 2 years of experience in a Software Engineering role.

Alternatively, will accept a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related plus 4 years of experience in a Software Engineering role.

Must have : 2 years of design and implementation experience with web applications with an emphasis on data analytics and visualization.

2 years of hands-on experience working with NoSQL databases and caching layers, such as MongoDB and Redis. Proven ability designing and implementing data pipelines, developing data models, and creating dashboards and s.

Proven ability with data modeling, service architecture and implementation. Proven ability with developing and troubleshooting cross-platform and cross-browser issue.
