S&S Activewear LLC Hiring for Software Engineer Manager Job at Bolingbrook, IL Full Time

S&S Activewear, the leading nationwide distribution company in the apparel and fashion industry is seeking an enthusiastic, driven, and detail-oriented Software Engineering Manager to join our growing Software Engineering Team.

You will perform and coordinate design aspects of application development and manage the team to ensure successful completion of planned product and customer enhancements in fast-paced but fun environment.

An ideal candidate must demonstrate strong critical thinking, effective communication, and thorough organization and time management skills. Additionally, this candidate must exhibit accountability and be able to understand and communicate technical issues at a high-level to business stakeholders and customers.

Schedule

Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM, Full-Time, Exempt

• Partner and collaborate with stakeholders and customers to determine requirements, establish project timelines and implementation plans
• Communicate clearly about project progress to management and stakeholders
• Provide input into the architecture and design of enhancements; collaborate with the team in solving problems the right way
• Review team pull requests and perform releases using automated CICD tools. Lead and participate in daily team stand-ups, assists team in removing blockers

• HR responsibilities for team including preparing and delivering annual performance evaluations. Provide mentorship and coaching to team

• 3+ years of experience in leading a team of software engineers, hiring, performance management, and career coaching
• 7+ years hands-on professional experience in Microsoft dot Net Technologies
• Practiced in the Agile software development life cycle methodologies
• Experience with relational database technologies like Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle required. • Previous experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP is a plus.
• Able to collaborate effectively across multiple stakeholders and customers

Additional Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent planning and prioritization skills
