Squirrel Hill Health Center Hiring for Medical Assistant at Bellevue, PA Full Time

The Medical Assistant will provide direct services to patients in our Primary Care Centers. Candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills, both in person and on the phone.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Act as a liaison for patients, clinicians, and staff, by phone or in person
• Follow logical and timely approaches to solving problems and making decisions regarding managed care including –
• vitals
• phlebotomy
• vaccine administration
• specimen processing
• testing
• scheduling
• other tasks as required

Qualifications:

• COVID and FLU vaccines, including boosters, required
• Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited school
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical setting
• Experience in Primary Care, Pediatrics, &/or OB/GYN preferred
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) required
• CPR certified
• Ability to speak Spanish or Nepali a plus
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
• Available to work in other office locations as needed (Squirrel Hill &/or Brentwood)
• Available to work a rotating shift including evenings (Tuesday &/or Thursday) and weekends (either Saturday or Sunday) as needed
