Job Title: Medical Writer (Medical Education)

Due to additional new business and growth, Springer Healthcare need an experienced Medical Writer to join our highly collaborative team to drive and deliver a variety of print and digital content across therapeutic areas such as haematology and oncology. If you’re a Medical Writer with a creative mind-set interested in broadening your expertise by delivering engaging content for educational and digital initiatives, then this is the ideal position for you. As an excellent relationship builder, you’ll build strong relationships with therapy area experts, 3rd-party vendors, freelancers and various key stakeholders. The position can either be based in our Tattenhall, Chester or Kings Cross, London offices.
Key responsibilities
Coordinate editorial scientific content delivery to a high standard for key healthcare accounts
Research and generate content in varied formats (such as PowerPoint slides, eLearning/training materials, infographics, expert panel discussions, congress summary reports and review articles)
Take clear and agreed briefs from clients including content, formats, timelines, authors/key medical experts and stakeholders
Collaborating with the wider account and sales teams to deliver projects on time and in line with the client brief
Project, time and budget management
Adapt to new therapeutic areas and contribute to business development opportunities including proposals and pitches
Participate fully in briefing and discussions
Attend client meetings and pitches as the scientific representative of Springer Healthcare
Travel requirements
International and national travel as requested
Virtual attendance may be an option, if preferred
Skills/Experience
Essential
A biomedical degree (or extensive equivalent experience)
Medical writing experience in a communications agency, medical education, pharmaceutical industry or related healthcare industries
Ability to seek out, critically appraise and appropriately cite published information
A keen interest in educational initiatives and digital solutions
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent oral and written communication skills and time management skills
Strong project management and client liaison abilities
Desirable
A higher degree in a biomedical discipline, ideally MSc or PhD
