Downer Facilities and Asset Services Group (F&AS) is a leading provider of integrated facilities services with clients across Australia and New Zealand.

Spotless holds a 28-year contract with the NSW Health Ministry to manage support services at the Orange, Bathurst, and Bloomfield Hospitals. Spotless employs a Contract Team to oversee this operation which includes nearly three hundred Local Health District employees engaged in cleaning, portering, maintenance, and security roles.

The purpose of this position is to provide support to the operational team in the delivery of recruitment services to the Orange/Bathurst Public-Private Partnership (PPP). This role encompasses recruitment, maintenance of staff records, relevant reporting, and various administration duties.

Responsibilities include

• Manage and complete the recruitment for NSW Health Employees & Spotless Employees to ensure compliance with all relevant policies and awards
• Work with the LHD Recruitment team & Managers to ensure that all recruitment is timely, prompt and within set timeframes of NSW Health
• Ensure that supervisory and management staff engaged in recruitment activities are appropriately trained
• Ensure that appropriate and necessary recruitment records are maintained
• Provide weekly and monthly reports as required
• Identify opportunities for improvement or innovation in the recruitment and onboarding process
• Provide support to potential or new candidates in the LHD recruitment process
• Be familiar with establishment figures for the contract and ensure these are reviewed against actuals on a regular basis
• Assist in preparation of HR monthly and Annual reports
• Accurate minute taking for various team meetings
• Coordinate travel booking for Spotless staff
• Manage the taxi booking system and process
• Provide support and training for all Spotless employees to ensure accurate data and records are kept in Staff link and HRIS systems

• Ability to express ideas/concepts in a clear, succinct manner.
• Extensive experience in developing strong working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
• Ability to analyse complex problems and develop solutions
• High level co-ordination and facilitation skills
• Demonstrated ability to prepare complex correspondence and reports
• Demonstrated capacity in word processing and the use of spreadsheets
• Knowledge of industrial relations practices and principles
• High level negotiation skills
• Ability to understand, interpret and apply industrial awards
