The Role

Reporting to the Business Manager, the Finance Assistant plays a pivotal role in the NSW Schools contract. With a clear focus on best practice, you will embrace continuous development in process and administration, assisting the Finance Manager with the smooth undertaking of the multiple services delivered by Spotless to the NSW Schools Contracts.

This hands-on role is offered on a part-time basis, three days (3 x 7.6 hours) per week. The position requires that the successful candidate to undertake a wide range of Financial tasks, including but not limited to:

• Provide transactional, accounting, analysis and reporting support
• Other financial duties such as raising invoices to customers, processing purchase order receipts, timesheet data collection plus updating of our site information and systems
• Assist with the budget preparation
• Assist with the process improvement & system review

Skills and Experience

• Previous finance experience is mandatory
• Outstanding written and spoken communication skills
• Strong computing skills, especially MS Office and in particular Excel, as well as the ability to work adeptly across multiple programmes concurrently
• Knowledge of SAP, would be viewed favourably
• Proven background in managing tight deadlines and assisting in the generation of reports, by accurate and timely delivery of relevant data
• A flexible approach and a born time manager
• Previous experience in a client facing (internal or external) role, will be key to your success
