Sportsman’s BBQ Station (Hutro Inc.) Hiring for Kitchen Manager/Front Of House Manager Team at Lake City, Colorado Full Time

Looking to live, work, and get away! Look no further! 

We are seeking a couple, 2 PEOPLE, to live on property and help run our bustling gas station/convenience store/restaurant. We are a very small business, currently just the 2 owners and a helper. We are hoping to bring on a full-time, year-round couple to self-manage the kitchen and front of house. 

Desirably for the couple, one individual will be kitchen oriented, taking on the role of “Kitchen Manager”. Since you would primarily be the sole person in the kitchen, your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to dishwashing, prep work, inventory management, cleaning, cooking and preparing our smoked BBQ, grill and fryer work, ServSafe Kitchen Management, etc. 

The other individual should be hospitality oriented and would be taking on the role of “Front of House Manager”. Since you would primarily be the sole person in the front of the store, your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to cleaning, stocking, inventory management, cashiering, tending to gas station & restrooms, service hospitality, attending to beverages and condiments, assisting the kitchen, etc. 

We will cross-train both individuals to have everyone’s help where needed and have a better concept of the business’ abilities and limitations. Both positions will require you to be on your feet, moving constantly, and require that you be able to lift 30lbs.  

We would like to hire a couple on a 50hr/week salary. The main restaurant hours are Thur-Mon, 11 am – 7 pm, serving lunch and dinner. Additional hours may be worked receiving deliveries, smoking BBQ, or doing general prep and cleaning. Winter brings a slowdown and may allow for additional detailing, while summers are our busy season and work hours will increase.

Part of your compensation would be our newly remodeled and furnished apartment, located on-site with the restaurant/store, equal to a $1500-2000/month compensation for the couple (~$875/person). Salary compensation will be based on experience and may include additional paid vacation time. Each person would be receiving a salary; the wage indicated is per employee. 

We are looking for a couple that we can entrust to run our business. Both individuals must be reliable, trustworthy, self-motivated, and hard-working. You would be working together, so it is important that you have the best work rapport with your partner.
