Sportshub Technologies Hiring for [Fantasy Sports] Backend Engineer at Remote Full Time

The Position

SharpLink is seeking a backend software engineer looking to join a fast-moving team in the fantasy sports/gaming industry. We are looking for a motivated individual willing to design, build, and maintain features and products throughout their lifecycle. As a member of our team, you’ll have the chance to work remotely and enjoy a comprehensive benefits package.

The ideal candidate should have experience designing and developing scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend systems and APIs for web or mobile applications. You will collaborate with various teams to define, design, and ship new features for our products. Candidates should have experience working with a programming language such as Python, Ruby, or C#, and developing RESTful APIs, microservices, and other backend applications.

Must be authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Implement new features and improvements with a focus on testing, reliability, maintainability, and providing the best possible user experience
• Gain knowledge of best practices and tools for building reliable software on a fast-moving product team
• Learn from other engineers and share your own knowledge and experience
• Work with product owners to design and implement product improvements and new products
• Monitor and improve website performance and scalability

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of development experience in a language such as Python, Ruby, C#, Go, or similar
• Solid understanding of web technologies
• Experience building RESTful APIs
• Significant relational database experience
• Experience creating and/or maintaining integrations with 3rd party APIs in a production environment
• Experience writing automated unit and integration tests
• Willingness to learn new technologies as necessary

Nice to Have Experience

• An understanding and passion for sports and fantasy sports
• Basic experience building and deploying applications to cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience working with OAuth2/OIDC
• Experience with Docker
• Experience with frontend technologies, especially React and NextJS

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
