Support the Senior Marketing Manager in driving the UK Comms & Influencer Marketing vision for Sports Direct
Manage with Senior Communications Manager and Chief Marketing Officer the development of consumer brand moments for Sports Direct
Champion but challenge Sports Direct’s PR agency (Pitch) and influencer agency (BDB)
Identify, negotiate and manage influencers and talent, spanning sport and lifestyle
Collaborate with both internal and external teams, ensuring the Comms & Influencer strategy works holistically across all business functions
Manage large and small scale budgets for PR and influencer activations
Maintain strong PR relationships – candidate should have a proven track record managing PR & comms strategy
Maintain an overview of competitor activity across sports/apparel/retail landscape – from a communications and influencer point of view
Oversee the invoice process for suppliers and influencers, setting up vendors and raising POs

Have a passion for sports and translate this energy into a positive approach, which supports overarching Marketing strategy
Strategic thinker, able to distil information and translate business objectives into PR briefs
Confident and influential communicator, in both oral and written communications
Impeccable written skills
Team player, with the confidence to take the lead and brief/manage other departments
Hard-working, proactive, solution-orientated with outstanding attention to detail
Excellent project management and organisational skills
Qualifications
A minimum of 4 years’ experience in PR / Communications
Experience of working in a fast-paced press office
Experience with managing agencies is desired
Developing communications plans including strategy, goals, budget and tactics
Strong relationships across sports and lifestyle media
An in-depth understanding of the sports industry
Experience of generating creative ideas, proactively pitching ideas and delivering results
Good presentation skills
Strong communication skills with excellent use of written English and attention to detail
