The Background
The Sporting Group is one of the world’s leading names in sports betting technology and trading. The Group employs almost 300 staff, predominately at its central London HQ, and has two principal divisions, Sporting Index – a B2C operation, the pre-eminent sports spread betting company, and Sporting Solutions, a rapidly growing B2B operation which supplies real-time pricing and sports trading capabilities to sportsbooks around the globe.
We are currently looking for a Talent Acquisition Manager to join the HR Team for a 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.
The Role
As Talent Acquisition Manager you will take ownership of the full cycle of the recruiting process, proactively identifying exceptional talent. You will be focused on creatively developing a variety of recruitment channels to ensure that we identify, attract and engage with the best candidates, both passive and active.
You will build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across the Sporting Group to identify the hiring needs of the teams and to develop internal and external talent strategies to source the best candidates. You will work with hiring managers to identify talent already within the Group and externally to build a pipeline of candidates and to highlight the key skills required in the role.
You will advise managers in order to develop their understanding of recruitment, challenge the status quo and to advise on the current market.
Strong experience of project work would be beneficial as there is an opportunity to work on some great projects around onboarding, diversity and inclusion as well as talent management.
The role sits within the HR Team but works closely with the Senior Managers and stakeholders across the business.
In this role you will be required to –

• Create and execute of the recruitment strategy in line with the HR strategy.
• Be responsible for the full lifecycle of the recruitment process from initial sign off, meeting with line managers, advertising the role and shortlisting candidates to offering and closing off the position.
• Have a good knowledge of using job boards and social media to attract talent, confident in using headhunting tools and LinkedIn recruiter.
• Be aware of new recruitment trends and other means of talent attraction that are emerging.
• Provide metrics to the Senior Leadership Team to show recruiting trends.
• Hit targets and keep time to hire, cost per hire and agency usage to a minimum.
• Be involved in our Talent Management project including the roll out of our career and job mapping
• Integrate diversity and inclusion initiatives in our recruitment and talent strategy.

The Person
You will be an enthusiastic talent acquisition manager who has a strong commitment to quality. You will be data driven, highly organised and adept at managing multiple priorities. Your background will involve agency and/or in-house recruitment and you will have expertise in sourcing exceptional candidates, attracting talent and building employer brand at every opportunity. You will be familiar with working with targets and comfortable providing metrics to demonstrate success or have a want to develop this area further.

• Ability to identify opportunities for social media recruiting or brand building. Experience of sourcing high quality candidates directly in innovative ways
• Experience in identifying exceptional passive talent and headhunting
• Competent interviewer using behavioural and competency-based assessment
• Bias for action, capable of working autonomously, driven to succeed
• Generates ideas and new ways of working with energy and conviction
• Highly organised but flexible and team orientated
• Excellent communication skills, strong focus on customer service at all levels
