How will you be contributing? The role and opportunity.

• Reporting to our UK Head of Finance (Vicky), this is a broad-spectrum role. There will be an emphasis on Accounts Payable and Purchase Ledger but with opportunities to be involved in all elements of the work undertaken by our team.
• This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced person with drive, commitment and enthusiasm to succeed in this role and in a rapidly growing business.
• You’ll be responsible for processing supplier invoices, including inputting, approval and payment within our finance system (Xero).
• You’ll establish and maintain payment cycles, taking advantage of preferable terms when applicable.
• You’ll ensure that we have the tools to keep the vehicles on the road by keeping the P&L in line with budget and ensuring costs are captured accurately in the period they occur. You’ll enable us to track our real-time spend.
• Remit payments, retaining receipts of transactions
• You’ll reconcile transactions and correct any discrepancies.
• Ensure all supplier information is up to date and accurate
• Ensure invoices and receipts are properly coded
• Provide month end support for journal entries, reconciliations and ad-hoc finance support. We want the team to learn from each other’s expertise, so you’ll help upskill your colleagues too!

• You’ll be adaptable to changing priorities, ways of working and you can shift your focus across multiple tasks when needed.
• You can thrive in a target-driven environment (targets could include reducing supplier days and accurately capturing costs).
• We are a close-knit team so you’ll enjoy working collaboratively with other departments to ensure we’re providing an excellent service to our colleagues and suppliers.
• We’re keen to upskill our team so they understand the breadth of our Finance roles. You’ll be happy to get stuck in to train and learn from your peers.
• You’ll have a great eye for detail; this is of vital importance.
• We’re a small team with little time for micromanagement – you’ll have a positive attitude to work, will be proactive and able to deal with autonomy.
• (Desirable) Xero accounting experience would be advantageous.
• (Desirable) Experience in vehicle asset finance and rental businesses.
