About Us:

SPIRE Academy is a comprehensive academic, athletic, personal skills and career development experience located within a world-class event and wellness complex. Constructed on nearly 800 acres with more than 750,000 sq. ft. under roof, SPIRE (www.spireinstitute.org) encompasses four divisions: SPIRE Academy, an accredited college preparatory international boarding school and multi-sport/specialty training and development academy for 9-12 graders and a post grad program; SPIRE Institute, the research and development arm studying performance improvement across multiple disciplines; SPIRE Events, a facility and team that hosts local, national and international tournaments and events with the NCAA, the Big East, Big Ten and Atlantic 10 conferences, Olympic trials and world championship qualifiers; and SPIRE Fit, a community membership-based fitness, swim and health center open to the public. Sports currently featured on campus include soccer, swimming, track and field, basketball, esports, drone racing, wrestling and lacrosse.

Overview:

The Marketing Manager must drive the marketing plan for SPIRE Academy including Academy, Camps, Events and related areas. This individual must create and implement marketing plans to define the competitive differentiation and key messages to drive participation and spectators to SPIRE Events and build brand awareness among the target audiences at SPIRE to generate camp registration and school enrollment. This individual will work closely with the Sports and Events Operations team, Business Development team, as well as other internal and external parties. Marketing activities to include brand development, event promotion and activation, marketing materials development, digital marketing strategy and execution, CRM/e-mail marketing, SEO/SEM, and website/social media content and advertising to optimize the marketing mix and revenue in the assigned business areas.

Responsibilities:

· Promote upcoming sport and non-sport events to boost attendance and brand.

· Liaise with event managers and coordinate marketing efforts to support events.

· Collaborate with Multimedia Specialist to promote on SPIRE’s social channels.

· Create and implement marketing campaigns to drive membership to our regional fitness, performance training, camps and leagues.

· Create and implement marketing campaigns to drive rental space for banquet and wedding venue sales.

· Work closely with the Chief Marketing Officer to effectively develop and implement all campaigns.

· Work closely with on-site Multimedia Specialist to share coverage of all happening on-site, not only events and regional programs.

· Collaborate with the entire marketing team (CMO, Multimedia Specialist social media, Comms/PR, Digital) as well as cross-functional teams (sports, programs, events, outreach and business development) to ensure that goals are met.

· Update spireacademy.com as it relates to events and banquet and other pages.

· Monitor the Major Events Log and update to ensure its accuracy.

· Assist with the creation of signage around campus.

· Assist with the creation of marketing materials including but not limited to flyers.

· Monitor all marketing materials on SPIRE’s campus, including but not limited to banners, rack cards, admission guides, stickers, tablecloths, and giveaways.

· Maintain inventory of all marketing materials and their location.

· Assist in activation of all sponsors.

Requirements:

· Minimum of three years’ experience in sports marketing, sponsorship or business development or related field.

· Interest in sports.

· Attendance at events often requires evenings and weekends offset with comp time.

· Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.

Preferred Skills

· Master’s degree in marketing, sports marketing, communications, or related field

Compensation:

· Annual salary of $60,000-$70,000 depending on experience
