Here’s What You’ll Be Up To

• Conducting assessments to understand students’ strengths, weaknesses, and needs
• Collaborating with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop personalized education plans
• Providing counseling and support to students facing emotional, behavioral, or social challenges
• Administering and interpreting psychological tests and evaluations
• Participating in team meetings to discuss student progress and plan interventions
• Assisting in developing and implementing school-wide programs to promote mental health and well-being
• Keeping accurate and confidential records of student evaluations and progress

What You’ll Need

• A Master’s degree in School Psychology or a related field
• School Psychologist Certificate from the Michigan Department of Education (MDE), preliminary or full
• Schools experience preferred
• Ability to diagnose, where possible, interferences to learning
• Experience participating in Individual Education Plan Team Meetings (IEPs)
