Position Overview:

• Oversees the activities of the company’s accounting department for accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements and annual audits/ annual budgets.
• Oversees the activities of disbursement department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, core employee expense.
• Oversee the activities of the accounts receivable department to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components including billing, cash receipts application, etc.; quarter and year-end payroll closing including federal and stae reports; and check statistic management.
• Assure company income tax compliance to assure the accurate and timely completion of all company income tax returns taking full advantage of all favorable tax codes.
• Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the company’s value.
• Participate in wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
• Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
• Assist executives in analysis of month-end reports.
• Maintains updated balance sheets, account reconciliations, and an effective internal control environment.
• Analyzes financial data in order to prepare reports for executive team.
• Maintains accounting records on fixed assets, depreciation and income.
• Acts as administrator for 401k.
• In charge of training and managing all accounting support staff.
• Reconciles report discrepancies and problems.
• Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
• Displays excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with customers, coworkers and vendors including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm/courteous under pressure.
• Respond to General Manager and President as assigned with accurate timely work to facilitate financial needs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and 10 years plus related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination education and experience.
• A Certified Public Accountant license is preferred for this position.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, members of the business community and vendors. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information to top management.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, and aspects of accrual accounting. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
• Job requires specialized computer skills. Must be adept to using various applications including database, spreadsheets, report writing, project management, word processing, presentation creation/editing, communicate by email and use scheduling software.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, and schedule form.
