SUMMARY:

Manages the Account Payable function including managing AP staff, processing of invoices, expenses and/or credit memos for goods and services on a timely basis (monthly and year-end close). Manages the weekly check runs and oversees accurate processing of accounts payable ledger accounts

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Actively promote and drive a culture of safety.

• Accurate and timely processing of Accounts Payable and actively managing all aspects of A/P.

• Provide timely analytical support to Management as necessary

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage the A/P Shared Business Services team creating and maintaining a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and accountability.
• Handle training, coaching, mentoring, balancing workloads, assigning tasks, planning, and hiring/firing.
• Runs weekly payments via Automated Clearing House (ACH), and/or check/wire.
• Resolves issues or concerns with vendors pertaining to payment and disbursement.
• Ensures payments are made in a timely manner and invoices are handled correctly.
• Works with other departments/locations in regard to invoices/payment to vendors.
• Enters information for invoices as needed. Runs monthly and year-end close reports.
• Maintains, analyzes and reconciles accounts payable ledger accounts.
• Develops, directs, plans and evaluates accounts payable policies and procedures, and ensures external and internal controls and policies are adhered to.
• Be able to effectively troubleshoot issues as they arise specifically with systems and vendors.
• Spearhead the annual 1099 reporting requirements.
• Reviews vendor statements and communicates with vendors regarding payment status.
• Monitor and maintain the open receivers report for the sites.
• Provide support for annual audits as necessary.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

8-10 Years of experience with at least 3 years supervisory experience. College degree a plus. Knowledge of standard accounting procedures. Must be able to foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and accountability. Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Familiarity with sophisticated accounting systems and the willingness and ability to quickly learn new systems. Strong planning and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize. Flexible, adaptable, detail-oriented and self-motivated. Ability to troubleshoot issues.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $82,000.00 per year
