Accountant, Stores Financial Accounts Team

The Role

As an Accountant in our Stores Financial Accounts Team, you will be responsible for providing a finance service to our stores and partners by assisting them to better understand their financial performance. Key responsibilities include:

• Responsible for the accounting of a portfolio of stores from checking the accuracy of accounting ledgers through to the preparation of the monthly management accounts.
• Preparation of monthly balance sheet reports, profit and loss accounts, to provide a detailed understanding of accounts, including the integrity of the figures, to ensure compliance with UK GAAP
• Perform monthly reviews and reconciliations to validate and understand the balances, transactions and performance of stores

The Experience

We’re looking for a fully qualified Accountant with the following skills and experience:

• A good understanding of accounting principles and conventions
• Experience of maintaining accounting records using dedicated accounting system.
• Experience of financial period end processes, month/year end, covering all areas of profit and loss accounts and balance sheet
• Experience of reporting under FRS102
• Excellent attention to detail
