Specialized Desanders Inc. is Looking for Shop Hand Full Time

SDI provides well Desanding as its exclusive service. Sand-producing wells that are not equipped with a multiphase sand separator are subject to erosion, which can quickly present a dangerous situation. Our control and measurement equipment protects our clients from blowouts, uncontrolled flows, equipment erosion, pollution and plugging of valves. Our goal is to help our clients have the proper equipment in place to get the job done as safely and efficiently as possible.

Job Purpose

The Shop Hand provides assistance to the Area Manager for the repair and maintenance of the desander fleet.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Perform desander maintenance including inspections, repairs, and refurbishments.

· Complete unit inspections prior to a unit leaving the yard.

· Assist in the managing of the inventory of spare desander repair parts and required shop supplies.

· Ensure all tools and equipment are in safe and operable condition.

· Maintain the housekeeping in the shop at an above average standard.

· Load and unload desanders onto trucks utilizing heavy equipment.

· Perform field work assisting Desanders Technicians in the field with installing, relocating, and recovering desander units and sand sentry equipment on occasion on an as needed basis.

· Assist in the EMP data entry as directed by the Area Manager.

· Ensure that SDI safety standards, procedures and government legislature are maintained for all functions performed in this position.

Qualifications

· A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required

· Minimum 2 years’ experience directly working in the oil & gas field

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills along with basic computer skills (MS Office products).

Eligibility Requirements

· This position is based out of Beaverlodge, AB and is not eligible for relocation assistance.

· Must possess a valid driver’s license and provide a current driving record.

· Ability/willingness to work and/or be on-call during off-hours and on weekends, as necessary.

· The ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.

· Ability to operate heavy equipment or willingness to learn to operate heavy equipment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $20.00-$40.00 per hour
