JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the creation and delivery of the foundation to compile the data required to complete a financial statement to the accounting team in a timely fashion. Success of this position is measured by overall performance, ability to prioritize and multi-task.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: – Other duties may be assigned:

• Understanding the internal accounting and client software systems, such as, Greentree, Sage fixed asset software, QuickBooks, Peachtree, and Microsoft Office.
• Compile external client Point of Sale information and incorporate to internal workpapers
• General ledger and balance sheet reconciliation
• Journal entries
• Compile bank reconciliations
• Run financial statements and ensure accuracy prior to sending to clients
• Data entry of manual checks and deposit information received from clients
• Assist other internal staff when needed

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Associates Degree in Accounting is preferred or a 0- 2 years’ experience required
• Intermediate MS Excel skills (pivot tables, v-look ups, formatting /sorting)
• Must be detail oriented and have the ability to show initiative and take ownership of assignments
• Must be able to prioritize projects based on the department demand and meet deadlines
• Requires analytical ability and good understanding of internal controls
• Team oriented with good communication and organizational skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

NOTE: This is largely a sedentary role; however, filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour
