Specialist Control Systems Hiring for Visual C++ Software Developer Job at Weston on the Green, England Full Time

SCS is an SME that designs and manufactures powertrain control electronics. We have a temporary contract to develop and bug fix our Visual C++ Windows application. Can work from home or remotely, with meetings at our offices in Weston Longville for updates, testing and support.

Our software application is a tool for editing memory values and monitoring the calculations of an engine management system. The candidate will be responsible for working through a task list for this application, primarily bug fixing issues in the user interface and adding new features by modifying the Visual C++ source code.

Candidate will need to provide their own PC with Visual Studio 2019 installed. Code is stored on a shared SVN, to which access will be granted for the duration of the project.

No fixed hours per week, but a list of work will be provided to be completed by the end of the contract.

Candidate must be very proficient in Microsoft Visual C++ MFC code for Windows applications. Understanding existing uncommented C code. Comprehension of project requirements. Work unaided at home and submit code for evaluation remotely. Able to visit our offices in Weston Longville, Norfolk to work with our team to test the code in the real world and ensure that it works correctly.

Contract length: 2 months
