About the Role
Sparx are looking for an HR Assistant to join the People Team to support the People Business Partner in delivering the People service across Sparx.
Acting as the first point of contact for questions and queries, this person will be an integral part of the team, providing proactive and effective day-to-day support and guidance across the business and supporting the People Business Partner with key People projects.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is just starting out within their HR career or looking to progress from previously working as a HR Administration.
Key responsibilities
Be the first point of contact for day-to-day HR queries across Sparx to support People managers in operational questions and escalating issues to the People Business Partner where appropriate.
Ensuring policies, procedures, guidelines and HR information pages are kept up to date on our internal employee hub.
Working with our central HR Admin team with HR systems administration, ensuring employee data is up to date.
Working with the central recruitment team and supporting people managers with their recruitment activities, including drafting job descriptions, adverts and interview packs, shortlisting candidates etc.
Supporting the starter/ leavers process, acting as point of contact for new starters and coordinating the onboarding/offboarding process with the admin and IT teams.
Assisting with the design, preparation and delivery of internal communications and presentations.
Supporting the People Business Partner with coordinating and preparing communication/documents on People projects where required.
Support in any ad-hoc People tasks.
About you:

Essential
A strong understanding of People practices.
Computer literate.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
CIPD Level 3/Foundation Level or equivalent experience.
Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to successfully manage conflicting priorities.
Resilient and able to work at pace within a fast-moving environment.
Excellent attention to detail.
Able to demonstrate high levels of initiative and motivation, working closely with other team members and displaying trust and loyalty.
Proactive with a ‘can do’ flexible attitude and excellent customer service.
Ability to work with integrity and absolute discretion.
High levels of emotional intelligence and empathy when dealing with the employee journey and care.
