Spartan Management Group Hiring for Staff Accountant Job at Colorado Springs, CO Full Time

• The Spartan Management Group is hiring a full-time Accountant. The person filling this role will work directly with our Controller, supporting our multiple business locations throughout the United States. These businesses primarily provide plumbing and HVAC services to residential and commercial customers as well as other supporting businesses. This is a new position to support our overall growth in what continues to be an exciting time for our industry!

The Accountant will work on all areas of financial reporting and budgeting with a focus on general ledger, accruals, deferrals, and account analysis. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Financial statement preparation.
• Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet analysis including preparation and maintenance of general ledger account supporting schedules.
• Prepares all monthly account and bank reconciliations.
• Assist with Month/Quarter/Year End Close.
• Working across multiple locations to help ensure timely close.
• Other Ad Hoc projects as directed.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Related Field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficient with QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise and QuickBooks Online
• Knowledge of general ledger, bank reconciliation, financial statement reporting and analysis.
• Familiarity and understanding of GAAP.
• Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
