Sparks Belting Company Hiring for Technical Sales Manager Full Time

At Sparks Belting (www.sparksbelting.com) we are searching for an exceptional Technical Sales Manager – Power Transmission who is a strategic sales professional with a solid track record of growth. The ideal candidate has success in driving large OEM or National Account activity and a background in applying motorized drive products to conveyor belt systems.

Must posses an understanding of logic controls, knowledge of power transmission systems and the ability to assess belting needs for large automation projects. This person will be primarily focused on persuading large food OEM’s to change from conventional drive systems to motorized pulleys. Other responsibilities include supporting field sales in product training and applications.

The territory covers the Midwest, specifically the geography East of the Mississippi River and North of Atlanta and will manage approximately 5 million book of business. The position s directly to the VP of Business Development and comes with a fixed salary with variable bonus based on goal attainment.

Qualifications:

• BS Degree in Engineering Discipline
• 5-10 years experience in Marketing a technical product direct to end users
• Demonstrated sales success in key markets
• Strong technical aptitude to measure line speed data and analyze throughput data. For example, ability to use a motor gear to determine horsepower on a pulley.
