What do you do for a living? Oh, I bring a 15′ tall inflatable canyon model into elementary schools and teach about the earth’s slow changes over time. You?

Sound interesting? This part-time self-scheduled position might be for you! Teach in a fun, flexible environment…really, just teach! No grading, planning, meeting, or testing involved.

SparkPoint Innovations, a teacher-owned company, is seeking a lead teacher for our in-school geology program, The Big Canyon Balloon. Programs are taught in elementary schools throughout Georgia. Flexible schedule! Teaching experience required.

$400 per contracted program day. Hours follow traditional school day, plus set up and take down of teaching model before and after school. Schedule typically allows for a max of 1-2 teaching days per week – you may provide black out dates that do not work for your schedule.

Set up and take down requires ability to lift 50 pounds. We’re looking for big personality, a sense of humor, and a love for children and teaching science! Car and trailer are provided, but educator will need to access and drive for each program.

• This job is not consistent pay. There are more schools in spring than fall, you might teach 2-3 times one week and not at all for two weeks. Wes are at the mercy of when schools need us. While it is a good per day salary, it is NOT steady or predictable. Explain how this is a situation that is okay for you. Most of our teachers have more than one job and this is completely fine. You will know your SparkPoint dates at least 3 weeks in advance.
