The Opportunity: As an experienced Finance Manager you will provide high-quality financial processing and ing, to enable accurate and informed decision-making for the successful performance of Spark Renewables.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to gain insight into the world of renewable energy, whilst also contributing to a motivated and successful finance team by striving for excellence in the role.

So what’s involved?

In this newly created role you will be working closely with the CFO and the CEO, and be responsible for:

• Financial and management ing including managing the finance function by running the month end ing process and preparation of the monthly Finance and s and Quarterly ing requirements.
• Monthly analysis and review of investment performance and ing including board s, monthly performance s and financial information.
• Developing and maintaining financial models, forecasts, annual budgets and our 5-year strategic business plan.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
• Managing our payroll function.
• Complying with all tax obligations including BAS, GST payroll tax, FBT and superannuation.
• Preparing tax-effective accounting workpapers and tax returns.
• Identifying, developing and implementing process improvements to the control environment and documenting these practices and processes to assist with operational quality and efficiency.
• Managing our year-end audit process, including assisting with the preparation of associated Board s.
• Improving our financial systems, processes, and operational efficiency.
• Building and managing relationships with key stakeholders, such as external auditors, bankers, insurance advisors etc.

What we’re looking for:

Minimum of 7+ years of post-qualification experience, you will be an experienced Finance Manager with lots of hands-on experience. Experience in the renewables sector is not necessary but preferable.

You thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment without compromising attention to detail and the quality of work. You can lead projects end to end, take ownership of deliverables, and possess expert skills in Excel and data analysis.

You have great interpersonal and communication skills. You work just as well in a team as you do by yourself and you have a flexible approach to change; you actively champion and lead change agendas within the organisation.
