Job Description:

This Administrative Assistant invests in our People in their work supporting the Airport Affairs Teams. Airport Affairs is responsible for the negotiation of all leases for real estate across the organization, and they manage relationships with the airports Southwest serves. This role will assist with the administrative duties in this space, and they’ll work closely with Teams and Leaders in Corporate Facilities, Real Estate Planning, Governmental Affairs, Network Planning, Ground Operations, and more. This Administrative Assistant joins an impactful Team, where they’ll have the opportunity to learn and grow in their expertise each day and pilot where their career with Heart takes them.

This role is a hybrid position based out of our Corporate Campus in Dallas, TX, which requires Employees to work onsite on our Corporate Campus at least three days a week. The Department designates the specific three days of the week Employees must work on-site.

Job Summary
Provide legendary Customer Service by providing administrative support to member(s) of Department Teams and Leaders (up to and including the Director level). Responsible for overall department administrative functions and smaller, lower complexly projects as assigned
Responsibilities
Work under general supervision and may be assigned general projects
Manage small scale department projects and cultural activities
Support large event planning for the Department
Review department and company news closely and understand them in relationship to their organization
Write clear and concise responses to incoming email inquiries. Prepare communication on behalf of the Leader when directed
Edit and review all written correspondence
Submit expense s and process payroll, as needed
Prioritize calendars and schedule travel arrangements under direction of Leader(s)
Organize and maintain all files, records, and other information
Assist in compiling s
Serve as backup to Sr. Administrative Assistant(s)
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Skilled in a high level of customer service delivery
Skilled in office management & department procedures
Ability to proactively seek creative ways to perform tasks in a timely and efficient manner
Ability to meet confidentiality expectations regarding confidential, proprietary and sensitive Company information
Ability to communicate professionally with Leaders and all internal & external Customers
Ability to set priorities, multitask, and work with a sense of urgency
Ability to use MS Applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to adapt to new technology applications and acquire new technical skills
Knowledge of the mission, purpose, and vision of Southwest Airlines and their department Understands the different functions of the department Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
Required: Entry level experience, developing skills and knowledge in Administrative Support or Customer Service related fields

Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
Ability to work in an on-call environment and flexible work schedule to support the needs of the business as needed
Pay & Benefits
Competitive market salary from $49,300 – $54,800 per year* depending on qualifications and experience, with opportunity for future pay increases based on performance and market movement. For eligible leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
