What you’ll be doing
Assist the Director Performance and Strategy with the operational management of the Finance Team and engagement and influencing of the Executive Team. Provide oversight to the management accountants and assist with the development and management of business and finalcial plans and financial strategies. Assist with the management and submission of statory and professional reporting requirements. Ensure the NSW Health Financial Performance Framework bechmarks are applied to all District reporting entities.

Selection Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or Finance, and/or successful extensive experience in financial management and improvement, particularly in the public sector healthcare setting.
- Demonstrable experience and knowledge in financial management, budget development and porting arrangements.
- Knowledge of financial reporting framework, policies, procedures, legislation and regulations.
- Superior analytical skills including the ability to analyse and interpret complex information from numerous sources, prepare written reports, correspondence, briefing notes and submissions, and deal with challenges creatively and achieve business focused human resource solutions.
- Superior interpersonal, collaboration, influencing, coaching and negotiation skills with extensive experience engaging and influencing stakeholders and customers to influence, and achieve, optimal business outcomes.
- Sound knowledge of, and practical experience with, the structure and processes of government, including an understanding of the healthcare system, shared services delivery, the shared services business model, legislative instruments and public sector structures, policies and processes.
