About the role:
Reporting to the HR Manager, this position will see you joining a dedicated team of HR professionals to provide support and human resource advice to our managers and staff. Our team works across various facilities, including John Hunter Hospital, Children Young People & Families (CYPF), Lower Hunter Sector (Including the New Maitland Hospital to be opened in 2022) and the Lower Mid North Coast Sector. Working as a HR Consultant you be engaged in an industry currently experiencing positive and supportive changes to the workforce. The District consists of seventeen thousand people providing services to over 920,000 people, making this a broad and fulfilling role for your to expand your HR knowledge and excel in your career while working within an evolving industry!

You will interact with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and aim to develop and maintain strong working relationships, in order to achieve your objectives. Typical duties may involve, but not be limited to, providing advice and interpreting awards, analysing and interpreting policies, industrial topics, general HR queries, assisting with position descriptions and recruitment matters, providing coaching and mentoring to managers, and much more!

About you!
Along with generalist HR experience and knowledge, you possess a passion for educating, coaching and mentoring both new and experienced managers. With outstanding verbal and written communication skills, you are adept at analysing and interpreting policy, procedures and industrial awards in order to provide high level advice and support to managers.
