About the role
The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is a service unit providing resources, advice and strategies to support and advance teaching and learning excellence for students and staff at the University. The Centre manages University-wide teaching and learning projects and its work is underpinned by a learning-centred approach which positions learning at the centre of decisions and practice.
The Educational Designers will work across the Centre and directly with academic staff to support the design, development, delivery and evaluation of online and blended courses and units. Working collaboratively with academics from all disciplines, these new roles have been created to inform innovative and effective use of contemporary learning design, eLearning technologies and the overall design and development of engaging blended learning environments.
These appointments may be based at Gold Coast or Lismore locations. Other locations within Australia are negotiable if effective working from home arrangements are available.
The remuneration package for this position is up to $109,180 per annum (inclusive of base salary $85,037- $93,316 per annum and 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation).

About you
We are seeking applicants with experience in pedagogy, educational technology and innovative curriculum design and with a passion to enhance student learning outcomes, to join our energetic and dedicated team of educational specialists. With a relevant degree and a strong understanding of the tertiary educational environment, you will have experience in collaborative learning design and associated processes.
You will have a proven track record of contributing to the success of a team, and have excellent communication skills that will allow you to effectively engage our stakeholders and influence course and unit alignment with evidenced-based best-practice approaches and learning models.
