As a Software Engineer (.Net) you help shape the future of cutting edge educational delivery and will directly impact and support the organization’s platform. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and key corporate and campus personnel to maintain academic quality, consistency, relevancy, and integrity in program development, course creation, oversight and review, and educational delivery. This position will lead a UI development team in implementing, testing, and deploying platform enhancements and to improve course delivery, report functionality, and ultimately improving student outcomes.

SCI will consider remote candidates. MUST live in and be eligible to work in the United States.

Essential Duties:

• Implement new features quickly and accurately.
• Ensure overall integrity of the product and that it is in alignment with other enterprise initiatives and engineering development goals.
• Maintain and encourage industry best practices for software development at all levels.
• Own the company’s code base and review and approve code changes.
• Provide technical expertise to B2B and B2I clients when necessary.
• Communicate and collaborate with top senior management and engineering team members.
• Help drive decisions around technology investments and platform growth
• Translate architectural requirements in to detailed implementation schematics when necessary.
• Ability to effectively mentor/guide other developers.

Position Requirements

Do you have the right background?
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to successfully perform the job.

• 5-7 years of professional experience in the .NET ecosystem with C# as a primary focus.
• 3+ years of professional experience with SQL and relational databases.
• .NET Core experience is highly desired.
• Entity Framework Core/SQL Server experience is highly desired.
• OAuth2/OIDC experience is highly desired.
• Experience developing secure applications for the enterprise (OAuth2, SAML, XACML, Cryptography, etc).
• Experience with “cloud-first” applications with a Microsoft Azure or AWS environment is a huge plus.
• Ability to work on large and small teams both internal and external with clients.
• Proficient managing multiple and changing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic, and geographically dispersed environment.
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery systems and tools (Jenkins, Git, MS Build etc.).
• Experience with building, releasing, and supporting enterprise software in a Production environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required for composing and delivering technical presentations and/or other forms of documentation to various levels of technical and non-technical management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,083.00 – $150,000.00 per year
