This is your opportunity to join the team that is behind the success of Southend Theatres. You would be responsible for a diverse and extensive community and education based programme that broadens our reach in the local area.
Southend Theatres incorporates two of the region’s busiest and most successful venues: the 1,650-seat Cliffs Pavilion and the 600-seat Edwardian Palace Theatre, plus a 100-seat Studio. The programme includes major touring musicals and plays, one-nighters, touring opera, ballet, children’s shows and pantomime, in addition to strong community use and learning opportunities.
The Community and Education Manager is responsible for ensuring the development and effective delivery of an already strong and innovative development programme. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and creative self-starter who will thrive in this busy and challenging environment.
We would like to hear from you if you have:
excellent communication, organisational, planning and budget management skills
a track record of securing funding
proven experience of initiating and project managing education, community and audience development projects
DBS clearance is a requirement of this post, as is regular travel locally and occasionally further afield.
