Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School Hiring for Reading Teacher at South Easton, MA Full Time

Job Title: Reading Teacher Our Students: Southeastern boasts a diverse student body that reflects the rich multicultural diversity of the nine communities that we serve. Our students balance rigorous academic coursework, including honors, AP, and dual enrollment college courses, with technical education in one of 20 career majors. Upon graduation, our students are prepared to go directly into the workforce and/or to pursue further education and training. Academic Class Sizes: Southeastern recognizes the correlation between smaller class sizes and academic achievement. The vast majority of academic classes have 18 or fewer students, and the maximum class roster is 22. Teacher Mentoring: Teachers who are new to the profession will be matched with a veteran teacher who will serve as a mentor and provide guidance on lesson planning, behavior management, assessments and grading, etc. Qualifications: Eligible applicants must possess the required teacher licensure from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Applicants who will be licensed following the completion of an educator preparation program are also eligible to apply. Hiring process: Initial interviews may be conducted virtually or in-person based on the candidates availability and preference. Teaching candidates may be asked to deliver a mini-lesson to a small group of administrators, faculty, and students as part of the interview process.
