About The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 to join the Liverpool Hospital Central Venous Access Service (CVAS).
The Central Venous Access (CVAS) Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) is responsible for providing a nursing consultancy service and insertion of central venous access devices (CVAD’s) to patients/clients, carers and other health professionals across the Liverpool Hospital.
The CVAS CNC is to provide clinical leadership and speciality related education within a discreet environment, initiate and utilise research for Evidence Based Practice and co-ordinate the activities and outcomes of the speciality service within associated organisations.
The CVAS CNC will oversee Parenteral Nutrition Orders for the hospital in conjunction with ICU Consultants, deliver education on CVAS management, participate in policy development and review of CVAD credentialing medical staff across Liverpool Hospital.

What You’ll Be Doing
The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) is an expert practitioner who, through leadership facilitates evidence based practice. The CNC will promote a service which fosters clinical excellence, research and professional leadership. The CNC contributes to quality health care by collaborating with the health care providers and consumer groups, developing clinical practice standards and evaluating their outcomes. The CNC is responsible for providing services which facilitate effective management of the care in the given specialty.
