South Key Hiring for Accounting Associate Job at Remote Full Time

South Key is looking for an accounting associate for one of our clients!

This is a direct hire for our client that specializes in billing and financial services for the commercial photography industry.

THIS POSITION IS IN PACIFIC STANDARD TIME.

Job Overview: The Accounting Associate role works within our Accounting Team. They support all our clients invoicing and account receivable needs. The accounting associate works with the payroll, vendor, and account manager teams to ensure all information needed to accurately invoice is received. Success in this role is achieved when invoicing is completed in a timely manner, inaccuracies are uncovered in advance of sending out invoices, payments are quickly followed up on to ensure payments are received.

The Accounting Associate also supports the Accounting Manager in processing intercompany transactions such as recording & reconciling transfers and ensures that vendor payments are funded from the correct client trust accounts.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Communicates in a shared inbox; ensuring communication with clients is logged at all times.

• Processes advances for all jobs once marked “ready to advance.” Reviewed open jobs and checks in with AM’s frequently to ensure advances are sent timely.

• Reviewing jobs after they have been removed from Prep to Close status. Reconciling vendor payments and payroll processing on all client invoices.

• Drafting invoices for the accounting manager to review.

• Recording transfers and transfer invoices

• Recording transfer bills.

• Preparing an Aged AR report weekly or monthly as requested

• Document training and processes and build a SOP Accounting guide

Communication and Service:

• Provide a high level of communication to all our clients.

• Communicate frequently and professionally with internal teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

• Work with your direct manager for questions and training support frequently through check ins and 1×1’s

• Participate and add value to process workflows to always improve our systems and processes.

What You’ll Need

• A go-getter mindset

• An entrepreneurial spirit (bonus points for aspiring entrepreneurs)

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or similar field

• 2-5 years Experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions with project based jobs and contractors

• Experience with Trust Accounting

• Experience in client databases and bookkeeping software like Airtable & Smartsheets and Xero & Bill.com

• Intermediary-level experience with Excel

• Experienced in Google Suite, including Drive, Gmail, and Gsheets

• Experience with working in a collaborative email inbox

• Experience in payroll processing is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour
