The Day Job:

If you are passionate about putting something back into the NHS, we have an exciting opportunity for a new Finance Manager to join our team. This role will be directly responsible for redefining and streamlining patient services for one of NHS SBS’s largest trusts. You will be shaping something incredible, almost like working for a start up but with a huge organisation behind you!

This role is so much more than month end, you will be fully involved in all aspects of this incredible transformation. There is a need to get close to the client, attending meetings with internal and external partners, getting under the hood of what we are trying to create, developing and why! Acting as the Financial specialist, you will want to understand what the issues are and be able to craft commercial models, alongside the Patient Services Director, to achieve our end goal.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financially support/business partner MD/FD; responsible for financially supporting one of our key client contracts (Revenue generation, financial period closes, variance analysis, Various financial analysis, internal costing, budgeting and forecasting
• Monthly close of on a timely, accurate and professional basis (Monthly accounting adjustments/Variance analysis commentary/Forecasting);
• Lead revenue recognition of a key client service contract and additional charges;
• Manage P&L forecast updates; Update key financials P&L of a key client service contract and operational departments
• Attend regular meetings with key operational leads to review performance;
• Produce cost/benefits analysis of internal business cases;
• Build and maintain financial models; Ad Hoc financial analysis & modelling;

Required Skills
You need to have:

• 
  Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, CIPFA, etc); proven working experience within a fully qualified role.
• Be educated to a degree level (Minimum grade required 2.1);
• Previous experience in management accounts (Forecasting/Variance analysis/Performance reporting etc);
• Experience managing multiple partners;
• Flexible and adaptable to cope with a fast paced environment in a large organisation;
• Eligible for DBS clearance.

Contract Type: Full time, Permanent
Location: London – you will be required to travel into London to attend client meetings (approx 1 day per week). Remaining working week can be done remotely

Salary: Circa £50,000 per annum
