POSITION DESCRIPTION

Job Title: General Operator III

Department: Production Operations

POSITION SUMMARY

Operate and clean automated manufacturing machines, utilize manufacturing computer software programs. Perform quality checks on finished product.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

· Prepare machine(s) to be production ready and operate machine(s.)

· Perform machine cleaning and minor maintenance.

· Inspect product samples visually and through the use of automated and manual inspection systems.

· Handle multiple tasks and responsible for multiple machines.

· Reset alarm conditions.

· Responsible and accountable for meeting business plan productivity and yield numbers.

· Complete production and quality records

· Accountable for quality of work

• Perform housekeeping tasks and maintain a visual workplace

· Meet production requirements.

• Follow documented work instructions
• Transport and dispose of scrap materials from production floor

· Troubleshoot process issues and communicate findings to technical and management personnel.

· Understand and apply DADC’s requirements for quality, environmental management, health and safety management, Kaizen, KPI’s and Six Sigma.

All of the above essential functions require the ability to communicate effectively, be mobile in the production area, and use varying degrees of independence, judgment, and discretion. The visual and mental ability to read procedures, follow instructions, and distinguish colors is necessary. The incumbent should have computer knowledge, be detail-oriented, and be able to finger and grasp materials.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION

High school diploma or equivalent

PC knowledge

Attention to detail

Good oral and written communication skills

Good organizational and follow-up skills

Be able to use varying degrees of independence, judgment and discretion.

Must possess the visual and mental ability to read procedures and follow instructions
