Sonata Learning, Inc Hiring for Instructional Design Manager for Training Company at Remote Full Time

Are you a skilled instructional designer, with experience managing/editing other writers?

Can you pick up an article on any subject and quickly make sense of the industry-specific jargon?

Can you sit down with experts in any field – from engineering to healthcare to humanitarian programs – and help them explain complex processes in terms a novice can understand?

If so, we are seeking someone to lead our team as they create innovative training courses, explainer videos, and related content for our clients. This is a 100% virtual, term-of-project role with potential to grow into a regular part-time or even full-time position (we will consider going full-time immediately for highly qualified candidates).

Outcomes Delivered

• Review source material provided by clients (e.g., whitepapers, web pages, books, old training slides, etc.) and translate it into well-organized, easy-to-follow training materials.

• Interview client subject matter experts to better understand our audience and the tasks we are training them to perform.

• Explain our company’s process to client stakeholders

• Write scripts and other types of content for client training programs

• Train other writers to follow Sonata Learning’s guidelines and templates for outlines, scripts, and slide decks

• Provide direction to graphic designers on how to represent concepts, visually.

• Periodically review progress to ensure the team is on track to deliver on time, to the expected level of quality

• Coordinate with the Operations Manager to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget

Candidates will be asked to pass a 90 minute writing skills test.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 – $60.00 per hour
