SOME, Inc Hiring for Talent Acquisition Specialist at Washington, DC Full Time

SOME (So Others Might Eat) is currently seeking a full-time Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Human Resources team.

Position Description: The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for full-cycle recruitment at all levels of the organization; both exempt and non-exempt. You will conduct comprehensive intakes with leaders, source, screen and present the best talent available. Our TA team is passionate about our mission, self-motivated and fun!

Schedule: Monday-Friday, hybrid schedule includes 1-2 days per week in our DC office on Benning Road in NE (metro blue line). Candidates must be located in the DC/MD/VA area.

Qualifications:

Required: High School diploma/GED; Minimum of two (2) years of experience in staffing/full cycle recruiting

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business related field. 3 to 5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience; Certified in recruiting

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Effective time management and organizational skills with an attention to detail
• Communicate with all levels of the organization from front line staff to the C-Suite
• Learn and use our ATS (ClearCompany) and HRIS system (ADP)
• Work across teams
• Think critically and strategically to solve issues, plan and reach results
• Multi-task and be productive despite competing priorities
• Conduct interviews and phones screenings in-person, by phone and thru MS Teams and other streams.
• Travel for hiring events and job fairs

Expected Contributions:

Talent Acquisition:

• Use appropriate technical recruitment and sourcing methods to locate qualified and diverse candidate pool for opened positions. Utilize the internet, social media, DOES and other professional networks and partners for recruiting, advertising and sourcing candidates. Disposition candidates in the ATS accurately and promptly. Facilitate the recruitment process with a time to fill within 45-60 days.
• Perform site visits in the DC area to become familiar with SOME’s programs and services. Communicate with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport, gauge morale, and source new candidate leads.
• Attend career fairs and hiring events and assist in the planning of on-site hiring events. Coordinate and implement college talent acquisition initiatives. Build networks to develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need. Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting. Host SOME Career Fair and Fall and Spring of each year.
• Post openings on job boards, professional organizations, social media and networks and in other position-appropriate venues. Manage careers page on the Company website, ensuring it is updated regularly.

Pay: $71,000.00 – $74,000.00 per year
