The Vice President of Operations is responsible for the day-to-day management, leadership and development of the employees under his responsibility and will planning, directing, coordinating, and overseeing the Operations Director’s activities in the organization, ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the organization. Incumbent distinguishes themself by demonstrating their strategic vision and tactics through continuous improvement and engagement.
Your day will look like this :
- Ensure mobilizing leadership within their team: establish objectives, evaluate and manage performance, identify and meet workforce needs, see to the training and development of the team.
- Follow up with Directors on leadership, fiscal responsibilities, and developmental skills.
- Assist with budget creation and management of operations.
- Participates in vetting scopes of work and contracts.
- Focus on standardizing process through regular office visits.
- Work with vendors to establish labor subcontracts.
- In collaboration with management and the HR team, focus on employee engagement, performance management, occupational health and safety, skills development and succession planning.
- Guide and act as an influence with the team and ensure the application of policies and procedures, intervene as necessary to resolve difficulties or unforeseen events.
- Participate in information sessions when launching new projects.
- Collaborate with other departments to better anticipate future work needs.
- Identify and eliminate potential health and safety risks.
- Collaborates with HR and implement training initiatives.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of the department’s work practices.
- Ensure compliance with contracts and delivery deadlines.
- Perform any other related task as required and directed by management.
Your profile:
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Management, or any other related educational work.
Knowledge and Experience Requirements:
Minimum 15 years of experience in corporate leadership, operations management, employee management and continuous improvement.
Experience in Project Management
Experience in Audio Visual strongly preferred.
Experience in construction or audiovisual (AV) industry.
Knowledge of insurance, bonding, and OSHA compliance.
Working knowledge of Entertainment Industry
Knowledge of insurance, bonding, and OSHA compliance.
Working knowledge of Entertainment Industry
Experience in technological fields.
Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
