Software Built By Design Inc. is a RAD custom software company located in the DFW area. We use an agnostic proprietary software platform that does not require coding to build Commercial-grade applications. SBBD is looking for a trainer for the purpose of expanding our organizational capacity and establishing a training infrastructure in house.

This position will be a senior position and will be done remotely with few exceptions.

The ideal candidate has experience creating training programs for both in person and online courses, is a self-starter and is passionate about teaching. This will be a Consultant/Contract job and will be a minimum 1 year project.

Job Duties:

• Initially working with a team with senior management and developers to learn and then create the learning material for future SBBD developers.
• Creating primarily online training courses for SBBD developers.
• Working across the whole organization to ensure a single standard is maintained and kept up-to-date with new features and functions from any upgrades to the Platform.
• Contributing to the definition and development of supporting online content by working with the internal Subject Matter Experts.
• Running and assessing remote certification events and exams for candidates, as well as contributing to exam definition, creation and maintenance.
• Being part of the team responsible for Train the Trainer activity, enabling customers, partners and employees to scale classroom training.
• Acting as the central point for updating the extended training team on changes in the courseware and Mx software in your areas of expertise.
• Conduct subject-based training demos and workshops
• Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees or consultation with managers
• Develop training material, documentation, quick tips and/or best practice guides
• Create ‘How To” training videos, Job Aids and FAQ’s as required

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer technology, information systems, engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as technical trainer
• Knowledge of modern training techniques and tools in technical subjects
• Experience in designing technical course content
• Ability to address training needs with complete courses
• Qualification in a computer-related training program.
• Certificate in instructional design or equivalent is suggested.
• Experience as a technical trainer, corporate trainer, or similar.
• Top-notch administrative, research, and troubleshooting skills.
• Outstanding analytical, planning, and assessment abilities.
• Ability to host fun and accessible training workshops.
• Knack for detecting and removing barriers to learning.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $100,000.00 – $135,000.00 per year
