Job Description Summary
As a part of the Americas HR team, the HR Manager is responsible for managing key aspects of the employee lifecycle. This includes being a thought leader and providing counsel on various key practices, including immigration matters, hiring strategy/approach, competitive compensation strategies, training initiatives, organizational development, change empowerment initiatives, and especially handling employee relations issues in a balanced and pragmatic manner. The ideal candidate will be a diplomatic and empathetic individual with the ability to effectively handle difficult employee situations.
This role will contribute to ensuring HR policy and procedure is understood, followed, and updated as needed to be compelling, just, and relevant. A high-level of customer service to the acquisition & integration of employees and leadership teams will be needed, as the HR Manager will act as the main escalation point of contact for employee queries on HR-related topics. This role is integral for providing a link between company practice, management efforts, and employee impact.
Essential Job Functions
  • Provide accurate HR policy guidance, balancing risk and business needs; upholding our culture and commitment to our employees.
  • Leverage extensive HR acumen to guide leaders through employee relations matters, increasing employee engagement, talent management, conducting investigations, managing disciplinary actions, mediating conflict, and supporting constructive resolutions.
  • Act as a change agent, proactively identifying organizational issues that limit effectiveness and collaborate with HR colleagues to develop and deliver practical solutions.
  • Partner with leadership to move the organization effectively through significant change, such as process improvement, restricting, and growth.
  • Maintain in-depth and current knowledge of employment law to help reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance; partner with Director of HR Operations and Legal as needed.
  • Serve as project lead on medium to large projects within HR and across functions.
  • Recommend and execute highly effective HR solutions aligned with overall company objectives.
  • Use information, instincts and data analytics to identify business issues and drive recommendations.
  • Partner with the team and proactively work on plans to improve employee engagement.
  • Positively engage with stakeholders to develop deep understanding of business operations
  • Ensure all people practices, internal policies, and processes in our region comply with relevant employment laws and statutory requirements.
  • Coach managers to ensure comprehensions of laws as well as people management practices meet organization’s goals.
  • Minimize loss of key talent and drive consistent and fair performance standards across teams.
  • Ensure data is accurate and up to date in s, presentations and our HRIS systems
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements
  • 6+ years of HR experience with no degree
  • 4+ years of HR experience with a bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • PHR/SHRM-CP Certification preferred, but not required
Skills
  • Demonstrated ability to link HR strategies to business priorities
  • Strong background navigating employee relations issues and experience in investigation practices
  • Comprehensive understanding of all Employment Laws and Regulations for the Americas region, outside us would be a plus
  • Ability to operate strategically and have a hands-on approach. Extremely comfortable working in the depths of the detail while being able to quickly acclimatize to strategic discussions.
  • Experience in technology sector
  • Effective oral and written communication
  • Extremely detail-oriented
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills
  • Ability to interpret, understand and relate complex policies and procedures
  • Excellent computer skills, proficient in MS Office and Google Suite, including Excel and SharePoint
  • Demonstrated skills in HRIS management and record keeping
  • Desirable skills:

    • Experience with Workday, ADP/Workforce Now
    • Experience with project management
