Job Description:

To support this transformation, we’re seeking an experienced Systems Test Development Engineer with a strong expertise in cloud-based technologies to design, develop, and implement cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems.

An ideal candidate will bring applications testing and development experience with an extensive knowledge of cloud computing systems, network security, and ability to support its operation to help our business become more reliable, efficient and secure.

Objectives of this Role:

• Work in tandem with our engineering team to identify and implement an optimal cloud-based application testing solutions and methodologies
• Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application performance testing and infrastructure maintenance
• Ensure application performance, uptime, and scalability, maintaining high standards of service quality
• Provide guidance to development teams to build cloud-based test competencies
• Manage cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and deploy systems testing software to test cloud-based applications
• Participate in all aspects of the test development life cycle for cloud solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance
• Troubleshoot incidents, identify root cause, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures
• Monitor and troubleshoot service platform issues related to system performance, alerts and other error conditions
• Provide customer support as a second-tier technical support staff working with engineering and support team to help resolve customer’s service-related technical issues
• Employ problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of experience of testing cloud-based systems and applications
• Testing functionality, scalability, and throughput using Python or other scripting languages
• Overall knowledge of cloud computing: virtualization, security, fault tolerance and high availability
• Experience in File Servers and Database Systems
• Proven ability to collaborate with developers, and subject matter experts

Preferred Qualifications

• VMware technologies: vSphere, ESXi, vMotion
• Knowledge of web services, API, REST, and RPC
• Knowledge of fax over IP (FoIP) and telecommunications technologies

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 – $140,000.00 per year
