What you will be doing:

Reporting to the General Manager, and working closely with Regional Director of Finance and hotel owner, the Director of Finance will be responsible to maintain, develop and lead the Finance department.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the Finance Department
• Building and developing an effective Finance team including recruitment, training, conducting performance appraisals and counselling
• To be directly accountable for all financial information sent to the General Manager, Regional Director of Finance and Owners of the Hotel with accuracy and detail
• To ensure that all Departments and Senior Leaders adopt policies and internal controls maximising Departmental profit
• Directly accountable for the compilation of the annual budgets and monthly forecasting in consultation with the General Manager and with input from Senior Leadership Team
• Generate accurate, relevant and timely reports (both financial and general) to the General Manager and owners in line with Sofitel guidelines

Your experience and skills include:

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting
• Proven previous experience in a similar senior financial position
• Demonstrated combined corporate accounting and finance experience
• Experience creating financial statements
• Experience with general ledger and month-end/year-end closing
• Ability to work autonomously
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
• Previous knowledge of SUN systems, TimeTarget, Wage Easy & Purchase Plus is an advantage
• You will have excellent personal presentation and presence
• Refined communication skills in English language.
• Perfection for the smallest of details
• Pride yourself on the ability to build relationships and guest experiences epitomising French elegance, style and sophistication
