Position Location: Canarctic Plant (North York, ON) Shift Timing: Afternoon Shift Position Summary: To assist with the set up and operation of line processing at the manufacturing facilities in a safe and productive manner. We have current vacancies on the day and afternoon shifts. Key Accountabilities: • Work in and promote a safe environment • Must work strictly in compliance with all Health & Safety requirements • Produce a safe and quality product according to product specifications and HACCP/Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manual. Operate the equipment within specified parameters.

• LINE SETUP: Assist in the safe and efficient set up and operation of production (line set up and change). • MATERIALS: Responsible for supplying all materials required to various lines. Ensures that wet batter is made precisely as required to ensure each line is receiving batter quality and quantity. Ensures that all mixing and meat block formulations are made precisely as required.

Efficient use of materials is achieved while operating within tolerances. Assist in the proper rotation of defrosted and fresh raw materials. Organizes all materials to be used on the production lines. Keeps accurate records of materials used during the shift and makes reports accordingly.

Check and record weights of raw materials as required. Ensures cleanliness maintained in all the work areas. • FINISHED GOODS: Keeps accurate records of finished products. Moves product form production to freezing areas as often as necessary to maintain freezing.

Moves finished product from the floor during breaks or other major line stoppages. Ensures cleanliness maintained in all the work areas. • CLEANING: Ensures cleanliness maintained in all the work areas. Responsible for removal of food and other waste from the production line.

Ensures cleanliness of outside food and trash compactor, as well as the surrounding area. Responsible for clearing all production doors and passageways of ice, snow or other materials. • REPORTS: Reports are accurate clear and informative. All needed data to reflect the days events must be recorded.

All comments should describe the facts, action taken, and results • COMMUNICATION: Communicate with colleagues and supervisors with an open mind and exchange feedback in a constructive manner. • Other relevant duties as assigned by PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR and or DESIGNATE. Requirements: • Necessary skills to organize and plan and report. • Necessary skills for verbal and written communication in English.

• Must be able and willing to move heavy equipment and materials for line set up, changes and operation. • Secondary School Education required (minimum grade 12 preferred). • Necessary skills for working in a team environment. Working Conditions: • This position requires 100% physical effort which entails lifting and repetitive movements.
• The work environment is wet, damp, dusty and refrigerated (50 degree F or less). Occasionally working in freezer environment. Warm clothing is required. • The noise level may exceed 90 decibels.

Hearing protection is mandatory. • The use of Rubber safety boots is mandatory. • There may be occasional travel between plants.
