Sodexo Hiring for Overhead Accountant Job at Manchester, England Full Time

We’re currently looking for an Overhead Accountant to join our Finance team based in our offices in Salford (right next to Media City). You’ll provide cost centre management within all central functions which includes management and control of balance sheet and P&L.

As the first point of contact for senior budget holders you’ll be able to build strong relationship, truly partnering with the business, you’ll be capable of establishing good rapport with customers and have the ability to drive meetings forwards to enable budget sign off.

You’ll be responsible for producing accurate monthly management accounts and provide future predictions alerting the business to any overspend or potential opportunities. You’ll be flexible in your approach, proactive, responsive and able to adapt to changing environments. You’ll be able to think methodically, organising yourself well and in a methodical manner, your attention to detail will be impeccable.

You may currently be working in a Management or Overhead Accountant role and be looking to get more senior stakeholder exposure or crave the opportunity to work in a complex and high-volume organisation, this role will keep you on your toes and give you the opportunity to professionally challenge yourself and develop your skillset further.
Main Responsibilities

• First point of contact for senior budget holders, across central functions with regards to cost centre management
• Drive meetings with senior budget holders to create and finalise budgets (annually) and forecasts (quarterly)
• Solely responsible for producing accurate and timely Management Accounts on a monthly basis
• Produce commentary for designated remit as determined by UK Reporting
• Highlight any risk or opportunities on financial performance to budget holders and Overhead Controller

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven Management Accounting experience
• Part Qualified / Qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACCA)
• Financial Acumen and analysis
• Ability and confidence to build and maintain relationships with finance and non-finance colleagues
• Ability to consistently deliver in a volume driven environment taking ownership of reported financials
• Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to deal with varying stakeholders throughout the business
• Flexible approach and adaptable to a changing working environment.
• Organised and methodical
• Proactive, responsive and actioned orientated
• Good excel skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £33,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
