Summary
SVS seeks a highly motivated, well-organized, team-focused individual for the position of Education Coordinator. Through working with other team members, the coordinator helps support the development and execution of quality educational programming (activities), in a variety of formats including but not limited to, in-person meetings/courses, virtual meetings, webinars, blended learning, self-assessment products, and enduring educational activities. This position plays a key role in supporting the administrative needs of the Education Department, providing high-quality customer service support, and helping to grow the education portfolio with the goal of reaching vascular surgeons at every stage of their careers.

What you’ll bring to the job (Requirements)
· 1-3 years office administration experience required.
· Bachelors or associates degree preferred; or 2 years of college working towards a bachelor’s in adult education, training and development, business, marketing, or other business-related degree highly desired.
· In place of a degree or college credits, candidates with 2-5 years of equivalent experience will also be considered and highly preferred.
· Highly motivated, pro-active, results-oriented, and team focused mindset.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects at one time; able to prioritize efforts to use limited resources efficiently; familiarity with project management tools a plus
· Ability to problem solve
· Outstanding customer service skills (oral, electronic, and written communication)
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel required; ability to learn new technology as required
· Familiarity with webinar platforms, virtual conferences, Learning Management Systems a plus.
· Experience working with volunteers and volunteer-management in the creation of content preferred.
What you’ll own (Responsibilities)
· Supports the administrative work of the department in collaborating with other committees, sections, and staff to develop educational programming to support Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for/and with women, young surgeons, and vascular surgeons from diverse backgrounds.
· Serves as administrative support for the software we use for Vascular Annual Meeting and SVS’s Learning Management System. Becomes one of the Subject Matter Experts and provides recommendations to the education team on how best to streamline efforts using the technologies.
· Works with Education Managers in the execution of educational activities including but not limited to, supporting project plan creation and administration, set-up and production of webinars, data entry and course creation associated with our Vascular Annual Meeting software and Learning Management System, conducting quality control tests, testing of integrations between educational software and our Association Management System, and so forth.
· Assist with collecting, organizing and tracking documentation including permission agreements, faculty disclosure information, and other activity specific ACCME documentation for education developed by the organization.
· Routinely runs standard reports developed for the Education Department’s business needs and documentation of compliance with ACCME requirements. Monitoring the data for trends and/or issues to flag for further discussion or exploration with the Education Director.
· Using predesigned production templates/SOPs, enters and updates educational content, including images/multi-media, formatting and text into the SVS Learning Management System. Assists with the creation of production templates for new types of online courses.
· Support the administration and coordination of committee and education volunteer expert conference calls and in person meetings. Assist with polling volunteers’ availability; scheduling and organizing teleconferences, webinars, and meetings; preparing and distributing agenda books, coordinating travel arrangements and meeting room set up under the direction of the Director.
· Provide administrative services to support the activities, promotion, delivery, and follow up for all education initiatives and related services, including internal and external correspondence, scheduling and organizing meetings, maintaining electronic and paper files, and processes department expenses.
· Performs other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements & Environment
Typical office setting with routine sitting and occasional standing. Routine use of basic office equipment and computer. Occasional local and out of town travel is required for this position. Occasional evening and/or weekend work maybe required based on business needs. Routine telecommuting is allowed.
