Social Studies School Service Hiring for at Remote Full Time

COMPANY Social Studies School Service is a publisher and distributor of high-quality educational materials. We provide teachers and administrators with materials that promote critical thinking and informed action. We offer a wide range of products, from full curricula to supplementary resources. In addition, our Nystrom division is the country’s oldest publisher of maps, globes and atlases for the school market. The Customer Service Representative will work with our internal departmental contacts to support the needs of our customers, Curriculum specialists, and resellers with empathy and care. The CSR/DE will also support all data entry activities to ensure efficient processing and tracking of customer transactions, maintaining accurate product availability and inventory control records.

• Handle Inbound/Outbound customer and internal facing calls and emails in a timely manner.
• Accurately enter orders, maintain customer and contact records, and update item cards to ensure efficient processing and tracking of customer transactions, as well as maintaining accurate product control.
• Process returns and credits.
• Review and provide order/item status.
• Update CRM and ERP systems.
• Communicate weekly with sales reps on open orders.
• Fill out customer documents such as agreements, price lists, etc.
• Provide switchboard support.
• Work closely with the shipping manager to communicate daily on order shipments/statuses.
• Enter and maintain customer information and product data in the database.
• Collaborate with management teams to stay updated on new products and services.
• Escalate any customer service questions that cannot be answered to the appropriate team member.
• Maintain a professional phone etiquette at all times.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor to support the goals of the company.

Requirements:

• 3 years of experience in a high-volume, interactive customer service environment.
• Proficiency with Salesforce, Microsoft Office, data entry, e-mail and internet
• Ability to efficiently learn new software and online platforms
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Strong written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Creative problem solving
• Prior experience with Microsoft Navision a plus.
• Certification in customer service or related field a plus.
• Must meet or exceed customer service metrics including average handle time, first call resolution, and customer satisfaction scores.
