Salary: Grade 9, £55,415 to £63,638 pa inclusive

Location: Hybrid – Bloomsbury, London and remote

Hours: 35 per week

We are looking to appoint a Head of Access, Participation & Student Success in our Directorate of Student and Academic Services (SAS). You will be responsible for external and internal agenda in access and student success by providing strategic direction to the School and lead and contribute to the creation and development of a positive culture of diversity.

About the Department

The Department will aim to provide a high-level administrative support, advice and guidance to students, researchers and academic colleagues, so they receive expert, prompt and accessible support across a wide range of activities. These will also include business operational and management support to Heads of Departments and colleagues in central professional services.

About the Role

Under the leadership of the Director of Student and Academic Services, you will be responsible for leading and delivering a School-wide approach to access and student success including the involvement of both professional and academic departments, and to contribute to School priorities in learning and teaching, student engagement, curriculum diversity and outreach.

About you

Ideally you will have previous experience of office administration, ideally in a Higher Education context, Experience of managing and motivating a team. You will have an awareness and appreciation of equal opportunities issues relating to staff and student related matters alongside an awareness of issues relating to the progression of students from under-represented groups into higher education
