Live the Pacific Westcoast dream! We’re looking for two people to reside in and help operate our oceanfront B&B, ranked top 5 in Canada.

Additionally, there is a private 2 bedroom ocean view suite for our future team of two. It’s currently furnished, but we can definitely discuss changes to make it more your own home. Rent is set at $1,500 per month and includes: internet, hydro, gas, etc. We don’t charge rent during our annual 4-week closure. This is a heavily discounted rate, specifically to attract the right innkeepers.
Part-time hours allow you to enjoy what nature has to offer or to work on your side hustle. Your primary responsibilities would be:
– Serving breakfasts: delivered to the main dining table in individual wooden crates. If you’re comfortable in the kitchen, the service can be done for all guests at once or we have the option of splitting service into two groups. On average, we serve 6-8 meals per day, but our full capacity is 12.
– Room turnover: This doesn’t have to be done every day, due to the nature of our bookings. On average, turnover days require 2-3 rooms to be cleaned between 11am – 3pm.
– Greeting guests: Our guests often appreciate meeting the innkeepers and there’s value in this for the guest experience and our ratings, which equals future business. However, we don’t believe it should tie you down to the property either. The goal is to greet each guest at some point before they leave.
– Other duties include: dishes (dishwasher), grocery shopping, laundry, hot tub and sauna cleaning, restocking fireplace, cleaning common areas, waste removal (curbside). Any other task that you’re comfortable with is also welcome, but we don’t expect this.
Other things to note:
– We’re open to partnerships if you have a skillset that you’d like to contribute. Example: lessons, massages, guides, meals, artisans.
– You’re welcome to have a pet. Just know that we have 2 pet-friendly rooms, so there may be others on-site.
– All of our guests are 18 or older. We’re open to innkeepers that have a small family, keeping in mind that the guests chose the Snug as a peaceful escape.
– We have about 1,000 bookings per year. and about half of our guests come from Germany and surrounding areas. The rest are usually from North America.
– You’re not responsible for booking reservations.
– We close the 2nd week of January for 4 weeks for renovations, maintenance and preparation for the next season. This period would be your annual vacation time.
Must move-in between November 1st, 2023 and January 10, 2024. Minimum commitment to January 5, 2025.
