Snowy Monaro Regional Council is looking for our next Finance Support Officer.

Where it’s located:

This position is based at our Berridale office.

About the role:

This position supports our finance team and would be suited to a highly motivated individual looking for a career within finance and accounts.

Reporting into the Management Accountant, responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Account and Bank reconciliations
• Provide timely, professional customer service to internal and external customers
• Processing customer payments
• End of month supplier payment runs, processing of credit cards and fuel cards
• Support to finance team in preparing annual financial statements

We are seeking:

• Certificate III qualification or above, in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline with demonstrated contemporary experience in a similar role; or substantial contemporary experience in a similar role to support contemporary knowledge
• Demonstrated ability to work in a busy team environment that demands high levels of concentration while coping with frequent interruptions
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks
• Demonstrated experience in customer service environment
• Demonstrated experience in Microsoft office suite and high level accurate data entry
