One of the UK’s leading exporters of food and drink produce, exporting an exceptional product range to businesses worldwide is currently on the look-out for a HR Assistant to join our team.
Job Purpose: The HR Assistant duties involve a wide range of support activities inside our HR department, from coordinating meetings to maintaining our employee database to posting job ads. An important part of your role will be to act as the liaison between HR and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions. You’ll also assist in creating policies, processes, and documents.
Hours : 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Job Responsibilities:
To support HR Manager in data entering, formatting, printing information and support all major HR activities lead by HR manager.
Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc)
Responsible for the development and delivery of all people related change, including integration within the group of Smylies.
Schedule appointments and conducting meetings with different department based on company needs.
Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing reference checks and issuing employment contracts.
Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc) and take minutes
Analysing reports and data on employee performance and updating data to software for employee feedback and appraisal process.
Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonus,leaves etc)
Maintain quality services by creating better working culture based on company vision and standards.
Ensuring induction process is completed, monitoring and ensuring training records and compliance records are kept up to date and chasing for relevant information.
Provide routine advice in line with Company Handbook, advising line managers and other employees on employment law and the employer’s own employment policies and procedures, dealing with a problem raised by an employees.
Resolving employee disputes or departmental disputes by conducting disciplinary actions guided by HR manager.
Answering telephones, emails to other department of company on behalf of HR manager.
Creating new plans for increasing employee efficiency based on insight gained from HR manager and company directors.
Continuously learn the latest HR best practices to improve workplace efficiency
Assisting management in writing/updating company procedures.
Maintain communication board and Smylies app.
